About Ogden Baptist Church

Ogden Baptist Church is a church located in Wilmington, NC. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is simple: to LOVE GOD| LOVE PEOPLE | LIVE TRANSFORMED. That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We invite you to come and check us out this weekend at our worship service. We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. So when you come, you can participate or just sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God’s Word, and lots of friendly people pursuing God together. And with childcare and classes for all ages, your family will love it too!

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

LOVE GOD

At OBC, we love GOD and want to know Him more! In fact, GOD is the reason for everything we do. We worship because God is worthy. We serve because God first served us. We give because God gave of himself so that we might experience grace. Are we a perfect church, absolutely not. We are just a church that loves God with all our hearts and try our best to pursue him daily.

LOVE PEOPLE

Jesus was once asked, “what is the greatest commandment in all of Scripture?” He answered, “Love God and Love People.” At OBC because we love God we want to love others well. We believe that God has planted OBC in the community we are in for a reason. That reason is to be a light of hope and love to all those around us. Every chance we get we want to seek to make the name of Jesus beautiful in our community and in our world.

LIVE TRANSFORMED

Knowing Jesus, changes lives. As we pursue Christ, our hearts experience the transformation that only God can bring. Each day our desire is to live a little more like Christ than the day before. At OBC we desire to help all who come to experience this life transformation that only Christ can bring.  

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
